Gigantic sea monsters, frightful teeth, merciless jaws - did such beings use to exist in reality or are they just a flight of imagination? People in early ages already found bone remains which fired imagination. This might be the explanation of the wonderful sea beings, huge monsters, frightening dragons, fantastic snakes appearing in the myths and folk-tales of several people. Although these animals never existed, the reality is also quite romantic.

Life rose in the sea several million years ago. On the unfriendly earth the tiny and unprotected living creatures would not have had much chance to survive thus the water was populated by animals of different colour, size and form very soon.

Did you know that there were eras when fish had a carapace, sea-scorpions were as long as 4 meters and the head of sharks was covered by teeth? What did the fearful primitive reptile look like? Which four-legged mammals chose the sea life-style? Our visitors can get the answers to several questions in a special environment; they can study the unbelievable richness of living beings of old times by means of colourful pictures and true-to-life statues.

At our exhibition the history of sea life is being displayed for our visitors. We are presenting creatures appearing well-known or just special. Some of them are small, some of them are huge. There are peaceful specimen and animals eager to fight, alike. The descendants of some primordial beings are still living in the oceans; other animals vanished without trace from the large revolving stage of life. Life is starting on its way form this place to conquer - we, people are just appearing in a short episode of this manuscript.
