One of the objectives of the exhibition is to present a reliable history of pathology and draw attention to lifeworks and lives of people like Lajos Arany (1812-1887), the man who established pathology in Hungary. Lajos Arany was so devoted to his profession that at the beginning of his career he financed a morgue and a laboratory himself.
Dissection set at the turn of the 19-20 century
The other objective is to clear up misunderstandings related to pathology, eg the often occurring mistake, that pathology is simply pathologic anatomy. Pathologic anatomy observes changes in organs visible with the naked eye. However, due to illnesses, changes also take place that are not visible with the naked eye. These microscopic changes are observed by histologia pathologica.

The objective of museum pedagogy is to show for young people that illnesses set up changes that are often irreversible processes. Thus, we play extra attention to addictions, among them smoking in detail.
