A dominant trend of contemporary geometric art is called MADI (Movement, Abstraction, Dimension, Invention). It was established in Buenos Aires in 1946, initiated by Carmelo Arden Quin et al., Gyula Kosice, Rhod Rotfuss, Martin Blaszko and friends.
The MADI first appeared on Hungarian art scene twenty years ago, in 1993. Their first exhibition was held in the Kassák Museum in Budapest. During the past twenty years or so festivals, exhibitions have followed one another in Hungary and Europe. Furthermore, ten issues of the MADI art periodical was published and one of Europe's largest collection of MADI began (with sculptures, objects, graphics). The framework for this activity is provided by the International Mobile Museum of MADI. The exhibition mainly focuses on MS the history of MADI and the international activity of the branch operating in Hungary.
The exhibition is a selection of the material of the Mobile MADI Museum.
