A new temporary exhibition is dedicated to the events of 1848-49. The exhibition of the Mora-Museum: the Pride of my Nation, the People of Szeged presents the Austrian military drum, which was captured in the confusion of battle of Szőreg by Hungarian troops.

The Battle of Szőreg took place on 5, August 1849. The forces led by Dembinski were seriously defeated by the Imperial Army led by Haynau. 500 dead and wounded, as well as 400 prisoners was the end of battle.

Children and adults with the spirit of children are in focus this year at the Mora Museum this year. They may dress up in uniforms, put on military hats and began saving lives of the wounded laying on military chariots. They may also enter an authentic military camp and rest on hey bags after the exhausting battles.

The organizers of the exhibition decided to show some of the valuable times in the Mora Museum Collection, different rifles and original uniforms, too.
