With leather clothing going out of fashion at the beginning of the 20th century, the embroidery skill of furriers was slowly forgotten. After a long sleep, like that of Sleeping Beauty, led by the teacher Mária Fejér, embroidery applied by furriers in the Jászság earlier was rediscovered and saved for posterity.

During the past 35 years, significant progress was seen in preserving embroidery patterns from the Jászság.

Beatles, eagle nail, flowers, pansy, roses and various other patterns ornamented textiles, whereas, tulips ornamented mostly ceramics, jewellery, bottles etc.

The exhibition provides a comprehensive picture of the committed work of the women involved n preserving the embroidery of the Jász furriers. However, it also sheds light on how the objects with the patterns were used in the past.
