A new bicycle road is to be opened in Szeged: entering the Móra Ferenc Museum, the visitors may take a tour walking along the bicycle road to see thirty bicycles representing the 150-year-history of bicycles. The exhibition entitled Bicycles Role In Summer... shows among others a cast iron bike, a velocipede, from 1860 and the Bone Shaker, and also a bike Mark Cavendish rode at theTour de France. The exhibition opens at 14.00 on Friday on 11 July.

The Móra Ferenc Museum is now a real bicycle paradise: they are on show everywhere, from the first room at the entrance up to the dome. Many of the early bicycles were made of wood or bamboo. One of the special items on display is known as Bone Shaker from 1860. It is a cast iron bike, which means that it was a heavy bike and was real hard to ride.
Bicycle fans may take a real time travel when visiting the exhibition. In addition to velocipedes from the 19th Century, they will find real retro bikes from the past century made in Hungary, France, Holland, Italy or Germany. Among modern bikes, the bike Mark Cavendish used to ride and with which he won several sections at the Tour de France in 2010 is of special interest. In addition, there is also a chopper made in Szeged among the items on display.
Moreover, the visitors will find bicycle parts; some of them are real relics, plus catalogues, device manufacturers, bells, torches, medals, helmets and jerseys, too.
