Fables are stories that always enchant, charm and make everyone ponder, independent of age. Lilla Rékai has expressed her ideas in drawings for ages now. She portrays fairy tales, sagas or stories she herself invented and she does it with unmistakable and characteristic figures.
In 2010, while still at the Hungarian University of Fine Art, she designed the record sleeve for the band Ghymes.
At her first solo exhibition in the Municipal Museum of Art, she shows works influenced by Hungarian folk tales, the story of Aesopus and Miklós Toldi. The visitors may even visit Alice in Wonderland.
