Pat and Rosemary Keough, a Canadian husband and wife team, are internationally acclaimed photographers, authors and publishers of sever photographic art books. Two decades ago they chanced to meet on a whitewater canoeing expedition on the legendary Nahanni river in North Canada. Not long afterwards, while honeymooning in the Ghat Mountains in South India, they decided to turn their mutual amusement of photography, then a hobby, into a shared profession. In the years since, as well keeping busy with their pictures, books and television shows, they have raised two children who often share in the adventures.
Pat and Rosemary Keough's photography is unusual. They have an acute awareness for the intricacy of nature and concern for its fragility. They are sensitive to both the ordinary and the extraordinary, the obvious and the ephemeral. Their vision is ephemeral. The arresting quality of the Keough's artistry and their passion for the excellence is acknowledged by the many honors they have received for the most recent creation 'ANTARCTICA: Explorer Series Volume 1'. To date, the Keoughs received 21 prestigious awards.
Pat and Rosemarie Keough are both fellows of the "The Explorers Club". Their photographs have appeared in Times, Forbes, Smithsonian, Departures, Camera Arts, Outdoor Photographer and several European periodicals.
When Pat and Rosemarie are not on a photo shoot, they are in their studio in British Columbia, Canada.
