The pro skateboarder, painter, photographer, video artist, graphic artist and sculptor Ed Templeton (1972) is one of the most interesting of those artists who gained success as artists in Europe. This extrovert artist raised in the suburbs of San Francisco faces the USA with his healthy criticism. He is an advocate of vegetarianism, sports, conscious spending time and creativity.

It may sound strange, but this legendary person is well known in Hungary where his visit is awaited impatiently by many. It is true, though, that he is mostly known as a skateboarder, and also of the company Toy Machine he began, as well as his cooperation with clothing firms.

It would be a difficult task to classify Ed Templeton's art. His success lays in the tone of his photos, aquarelles, the tone that mediate the disappointment of the youth, amended by the texts on them.

Ed Templeton's exhibitions are installed in an unusual manner, they are really unlike traditional shows. These exhibitions are imprints of a novel approach to art. Photos, drawings and paintings put on the walls from the ceiling to the floor, running like carpet offer very intensive experience to the visitors. The language Ed Templeton uses with his with his installations are just like pictures on the skateboards, or cloths he designed.

The artist tells stories of his life, friends, family and everyone who has met during his skateboarder career. Still, this giant biography-inspired installation is much more than personal. It deals with important social issues.
