The Hungarian Scout Collection was closed on 31 March 2009. The items in the collection were taken over by the Gödöllő Municipal Museum. The library and the archives were relocated in the Gödöllő Municipal Library. It all happened in the framework of the program "Gödöllő, the Capital of Hungarian Scouts".
The material is currently being processed. Professionals who formerly contributed to the work at the Scout Collection are now assisting the above mentioned institutes.
The permanent scout exhibition opens on 20 October 2009 at the Gödöllő Municipal Museum. The temporary exhibition entitled "Postal Stamps about Hungarian Scouts and Memorial Stamps" opens subsequently at the Municipal Library. A hike entitled "Following the Scout Trails in Gödöllő" is to be announced the same time.
