The complete reconstruction of the house of Deák Ferenc in Söjtör was finished for the 200th anniversary of his birth.
The robust building built around the 1770's is a unique witness of the life of the nobility of the 18-19th century with its painted walls and reconstructed kitchen.
The rooms upstairs hold furniture from the 18-19th century. A chamber exhibition presenting the reading habits of the nobles accompany the display.
The exhibition titled 'The Deák Family and the Memory of Deák Ferenc' is in one ward downstairs, while another room holds the display titled 'The Farmers of the Fields of Zala'.
