The fast development of the machines used in agriculture made it necessary to teach mechanics of agricultural machines in the Vocational Training School no.307 in Zirc.

The first classes began in the September 1964. The National Agricultural Machine Plant provided the machines to exercise on. Most of the apparatus were museum pieces even at that time, but were not under protection. Thus, they were taken to the recycle plants.

We began the collection of machines of museum pieces in the term 1973/74. Ever since then, their restoration has not ceased.

The audience may see the following equipments:

- the equipments of agriculture, with the utilizing human and animal power
- different threshers
- the variegation of crop cleaning machines
- the different types of chaff-cutters
- the different types of grinders
- the different developing types of carrot cutters
- the different developing types of corn shells
- stabile and self working power machine types
- the complete equipment of a cartwrights workshop
- the complete equipment of a smith workshop
- large photos and texts with them
tablets with the history of the development of machines
- different machine models
- books, charters and deeds in showcases
- on open air power machines and agricultural machines

Our first machine exhibited was a H.S.C.S. G.S.-35 type tractor with tires. It is still exhibited. It was made in the Vörös Csillag (Red Star) Tractor Factory in Budapest in 1952.

Our second machine is a complete horse trolley set borrowed from the farmer Győrfi György from Zirc. We do not know the exact date of making, but we suspect that it was made in the 1800`s. It could be used to operate grinders, cutters, pumps etc. Four horses were needed to work with it that a worker continuously encouraged to walk around.

The power- and work machines, as well as other equipments followed these machines. We organized an exhibition of our collection in 1975. Seeing our display, many offered their equipments. By 1977, the size of the collection made it possible for us to display them in the backyard of the school.

In October 1978, on occasion of the Museum Month, our machine collection was listed among the protected ones and we received the leave to operate them.

In 1981, the Zirc Organization of the Circle of Friends of the Agricultural Museum of Hungary was founded. As an institution, it is connected to the school but organized by the Museum of Agriculture. Unfortunately, we do not receive other support, even though our collection is part of places of interest.

The social joining forces of Veszprém County were a great help for us. S its result we managed to raise a building and a storeroom for the machines.
