Although the cellar line in Cák was considered to be declared a monument as early as in 1962, a few of them was sadly pulled down. The Authority of the Museums of Vas County purchased 6 of the protected ones in a group. The reconstruction works were carried out under the supervision of ethnographist János Bárdosi, in 1974-75. Also, two more endangered cellars were saved in 1976.
Most of the cellars were built at the beginning of the 20th century. Their strucrtures and roofing are are typical to the area and the time they were built at. Some of them contains wine-growing tools and equippments as well.
