The building was built in the middle of the 19th century. Originally, its walls were made of mud; the roof was a shingle roof. Two rooms, a chamber, and a barn were attached in a raw facing the street. The material, the loess was taken from the loess walls surrounding the house. The holes that were left after the carving were used for kitchen, cellar, and a roost.

The main building was reconstructed twice, once at the turn of the century, second time in the thirties when new barn and shed was built parallel with the house, the barn was converted into a chamber and workshop. The pigsty at the end of the house and the well at the entrance corner also belong to the house.

Let us see the places of interest:

Entering from the street a wonderful picture opens up in front of the eyes of the visitors. Behind the high plank fence a white house stands with windows and doors painted blue. The Germans favored this blue. Until the beginning of the century, almost everything was painted blue. These colors and the flowers lend warmth to the building.

A long gangway runs in front of the house. The living kitchen opens from there. The family only had a meal here on the days of celebration. It was also the location of the larger family lunches, which was usual at wintertime. The women weaved; the men drank wine, talked, and played cards.

The stove covered with tile provided the right heat in the kitchen. The painted plates used at celebrations hanging on the walls created a familiar atmosphere. The built in cupboard served to keep different objects in. Its painted door made it a nice piece of the room.

The first room represented the style between WWI and WWII. The corner bench surrounded the table. The invitation: on the bench says 'Come my dear friend and sit with us. We are all welcomed at Christ'. Over the bench, the family pictures are in the corner as if saying the family table was the most important power of pulling together. The chests are full of traditional clothing.

The chamber opens from the corridor. The tools not nice enough or too large to keep them in the kitchen are placed in its first part. The tools of housework were also kept there. The staircase to the attic leads from the chamber as well.

The back of the chamber was to keep the food in. The shelves were covered with preserved fruit, jellies. The tools of food preserving were also kept there. The different salami, bacons, hang under the ceiling.

The barn was attached to the house. It is rebuilt now but the visitors may learn of the trade and see the tools of hemp weaving.
