The building was constructed in Budapest as part of the Millennium Exhibitions in 1896. It first gained significant interest at the time of the opening ceremony with the beautiful pine-tree material it was made of, the beautiful finish and the proportional architecture. The roof was made of shingle.

The hunting trophies of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy were displayed in the pavilion. After the exhibition, the town of Szekszárd bought the building and was reconstructed in the center of the town in the garden of the casino. It functioned as a summer beer-house for some time. It was moved to Keselyűs in 1970 and a new exhibition opened in it.

It was repositioned in Bárányfok in the 80's and renamed Trophy Museum. It functioned until the beginning of the 90's after which time it was not used for anything. After the restoration of the building in 2002, the first exhibition opened in it on 19, September 2003.

Gemenc, the biggest constant flood area of Europe, has significant natural values. On the 18000 hectares living environments of water and forests change.

With the help of dioramas, the visitors may peep in the world of wide waters, forests and animals that mostly appear at night. The typical plants and invertebrates of the forests are displayed in showcases. We show lots of beautiful photos, maps, and graphics as well.

The ethnographic exhibition organized on the gallery presents the economy of the inundation are of Gemenc that disappeared almost completely after the rivers were regulated. The equipments and tools of the characteristic animal- and bee, keeping, fruit growing, fishing and other trades are accompanied with photos showing how the tools and equipments were used.
