The village is situated at the meeting point of the Rivers Galga, Tápió and the region called Jászság. The village museum of this Hungarian Roman Catholic community can be found n the centre of the settlement. A definitive role in the foundation of the museum was taken by Mrs. István Lapu who was collecting the objects of peasant interior, costume and farming for decades.
Originally the house belonged to the rich peasant Szalai family. It got its present form at the beginning of the 20th century. The exhibition shows the interior: furniture and tools of a rich peasant family, supplemented by several other objects of the Zsámbok folk to.
The village museum is also the place for programs preserving the local traditions.
