This village is situated at the middle part of the Galga valley. Starting from 1752 it was populated by settlers from Baden, Württemberg, later by people from Styria, Carinthia and Upper Austria invited by the landlord, Gedeon Ráday I. These people were prosecuted in the their homeland because of their Lutheran religion. German settlers were later joined by Slovakian families.
The house built in 1903 was bought by the community in 1983 and opened as a museum. Its interior consists of the objects of the small peasant Braun family, representing the whole set of their tools. In the rooms and in the kitchen the visitors can see several hundreds of painted plates - a former specific Iklad "fashion".
