The task of the German Ethnic Museum founded in 1972 (Ungarndeutsches Landesmuseum) is to collect and show the spiritual and material culture of the German minority living in Hungary.
The museum was realized in the Nepomucinus Mill built in 1758 based on the design of Fellner Jakab. At present, the museum shows the history of Germans living in the Carpathian Basin at three permanent exhibitions.
