The Historical Museum was opened by the former Pannon Agriculture University on 5th April 1989. The exhibition of the museum can be found in the castle.
The collection and filing of the items took three long years. The purpose of the work was to provide an exhibition which is worthy of a Hungarian agricultural university.
The collection gives an insight into the studies and researches made by the famous professors of the institute, and into the life of the students. Documents, photographs and letters are displayed in chronological order. Emphases were made upon the results that highly influenced the life of the institute in those times.
It is well seen from the exhibited material that this private institute founded in 1918 was the first and most significant representative of the Hungarian agricultural education and research. The institute is proud of a number of international acknowledgements, too.
For those desiring to make deeper researches about the famous institute, there is a separate collection of documents, certificates, photographs etc. available.
