The peasant house with thatched roof and wooden pole porch was built around 1750 on the 'redepmtus' estate. It was owned by the Orbán and the Baki families. The one-storey long building is lined along the street. There is a chest-height porch on the south side facing the yard.

Entering the house, the visitors will find themselves in an open-chimney kitchen. The building is divided into three sections. The clean room, also used for bedroom, opens from the kitchen. The tile stove from the 1920-30 is to be seen in the clean room.

Another oven is to be seen in the other room opening from the kitchen. A barn with mangers is located in the yard, and another building for crop. The latter was not part of the original outbuildings.

The county house is a typical example of the farmhouses in Halas. There are objects preserved from the 19 and 20th century to be seen in the building, showing the lifestyle of the age period.
