The village of Csik, as an early Árpád Age settlement, used to be one of the wine producing villages in the suburbs of Buda.

Researches arrived to identify the residue of the village that were mentioned in a number of charters. The work on the eastern part of the site previously called "Pensioner Garden" was headed by the archaeologist Dr. Edit Mester Objects suggesting a former Árpád Age settlement were discovered and unearthed right by the garden with dense bushes and trees. One pit-house, ditches, ovens and a number of pits with ceramics from the 13-15th century finds and bone finds were all excavated.

The Árpád Age Archaeological Park was set up supported by the self-government in 2003. The visitors will fond part of the old settlement with animals and plants of the past.

To make the Forest School Program and Summer Camps more fun for children, various other spectacles were set up, e.g. an Indian village, a wooden fortress, playground, pottery, beehive oven for baking bread, sports fields, archery practice field. The institute is maintained by the Oldie Fan Society and the Self-Government of the Town of Budaörs.
