The bases of the once monumental church named after Saint Adorján are now located in the Memorial Park. It was built together with other churches during 833-860 on the Vársziget of Zalavár.

After the Original Settlement, Zalavár became the first bailiff estate in the county. The Saint Stephen church built in the 11th century is related to this era. Its reconstruction was finished in 1996 on the original bases, with five statues of contemporary sculptors from Zala.

The informational center between the two buildings shows the flora and fauna of the region along with its archeological finds.
