Hunting is not an important feature of the modern people, or only a few believe that it is. Hunting seems like a negative act according to some of the articles. The reason of it is lack of knowledge. I am surprised when I realize that the people, especially the youth, do not know the animals, plants, and the interconnectedness of nature. For many the world of mushrooms and stones mean nothing. If we do not know what it means we do not have to protect it; we do not have to know what we have to pay attention to. Without the flora and fauna, the existence of people is questionable. This is what inspired me to show my collections and my experience to others.
The first time the idea of an exhibition occurred to me was in 1998. I Knew that I would be refused everywhere on account of lack of founds. I applied, but all I could learn was that it was not easy to realize an establishment. I needed partners and helpers who I found in the Hunter's Club of Cegléd. They supported me with work and material.
I could only begin to put the exhibition together when I was able to provide space for it at my own property. It is pleasurable that the Self-Government of Cegléd and the above mentioned support me. I opened the museum on the day of Saint Huber, on 28, September 2002 in the Saint Huber Park.
Off course, it was the first step only, since we have to develop the collection to be able to hold classes and lectures for students besides opening a temporary exhibition on the culture on hunting.
I hope The Museum of Hunting and Natural History will give a pleasant experience to the visitors, and everybody will find the values most valuable for him/her.
