We had hoped to create a country house for a long time for the members of the community. At the time of the majoring of Mrs. Sófalvi Tamás Márta in 1993, the endeavor was successful.
The house belonged to the peasant Vitéz Tamás Gábor. After his death, the self-government received leave from the president Zongor Gábor to buy the building along with its furnishing.
The material includes potteries of local potters made in 1880-1900, the woodcarvings of the peasant of Szentgál, the white embroidery from the Bakony, the objects of hunting, cloths of men and women, prayer books in German and Hungarian, as well as charters and letters of leave from the period of Franz Joseph.
The material was collected from the people of the village and taken in by the Laczkó Dezső Museum.
I myself attend to the task of caretaker as a voluntary worker ever since the founding of the museum. I have written works concerning 26 villages up to now. Two of them have already been published by the Museum of Veszprém. My first work was about the life of the Vitéz Tamás Gábor. I would like the rest of my works to be published too.
I myself welcome the visitors; show the history of the settlement and then the country house.
