The 29th Spring Exhibition of Salgótarján with the freshest artworks of Hungarian contemporary artists opened. The great number of paintings, statues and graphics sent in shows the interest in the event. The exhibition long exceeded regional framework and it became a national event. This time, a lot of young artists, more than before, sent in their works. Many of these are shown. The works shown well represent the variegation of Hungarian contemporary art. Besides individual worlds of art, we also present artworks made in the minimal art gender, expressive works, works made with playful irony and nature like representation.
Péter Földi: Pig of the quintal, oil, canvas, wallboard, 138 x 215 cm
Paintings and panel paintings are in abundance, but al secco with monumental atmosphere is also shown. Graphics and statues are less in number, However, they represent excellent quality.

The chamber exhibition showing the paintings of Krajcsovics Éva, the grand prize winner of the past year, accompanies the showing.

Around a hundred artists show hundred and fifty of their works at the 29th Spring Festival of Salgótarján. These artists created their works in very human circumstances, unlike the world we live our lives. We owe gratitude to them as we are able to stand in front of these works for, if not longer, a minute.
