The exhibition introduces Japanese art and its effect on fine art in Hungary. We show finely elaborated Japanese enamel objects from the 18th century, Rippl Rónai paintings and non-figurative works from our times, as well as articles for personal use that mirror traditional Japanese art.

Most of the objects shown belong to the Déri Frigyes Compilation of the Déri Museum. We also borrowed artworks from the Museum of Applied Arts, The Gallery of Szombathely, the National Széchényi Library, the University of Fine Arts, the Rippl Rónai Museum of Kaposvár and several private collections.
