The Veszprém Museum has been collecting items ever since the World War, even when the war was still going on. The current memorial exhibition presents objects and documents, most of which have never been featured in exhibitions.

We will show a variety of weapons, uniforms and fittings, prisoners of war and war memorabilia, medals, badges, photographs, documents and posters. Those interested will see a souvenir that was made by Hungarian insurgents for the German Emperor William II. In addition to material owned by the Laczkó Dezső Museum, we will show items borrowed or received by the museum from the residents, which have been guarded by a series of generations to the present day.

The exhibition is to help visitors learn about hard life of soldiers as well as life at the hinterland full of deprivation.
