The Foundation for Hungarian Applied Art co-signed the application of dual thematics together with the Applied Art Section of BKIK and IPOSZ. The result was a number of works of art of which a selection is on display in the downstairs exhibition rooms of the museum. Due to the dual thematics, the material contains both traditional and modern works.
However, according to the rules set by the application, the works had to be carried out through applied art. The themes include fairy tales, legends, ecclesiastic themes like water, christening and also folk traditions like water sprinkling at Easter etc. The flora and fauna of water is represented on textiles and wood carvings, as well as tools used at fishing or just ceramic ornaments. With view of the topic, unlike before, we included works by children, which was a very pleasant surprise for the organizers to see how spirited kids can be.
Photos of the items on display will be published in an album following the exhibition.
