After my request for a location was supported by the self-government, we ceremoniously opened the Kindergarten History permanent exhibition in the office of the old fire-fighter storage in the village of Lengyel.

I was helped by the body of the Kindergarten and everyone who esteemed the institution. The material of the showing included tools, textiles, furniture, photos and toys of the kindergarten collected for over 40 years. The 1970's display was visited by parents and the people living in the village of Lengyel.

The exhibition held in 1978, on the 150th anniversary of the fist establishment of kindergartens was an outstanding event. Its success made the local committee promise to support a permanent exhibition. In 1988, the exhibition held in honour of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the kindergarten was very popular. The showing presented traditions of the kindergarten, tools, textiles and activity tools used in it. The visitors came from the village and from the county. This permanent exhibition informs on the past and present. It develops continuously due to regional and county donations. Our task for this year is to further develop and register the material. We hope to be able to show photos and objects related to sleeping, dining, life in the garden, the bathroom, and dressing room in the kindergarten.

I and my colleagues wish to authentically show the history of the kindergarten. Several students from training collages have endeavoured to do research work. I also wish to publish professional writings of pedagosists to present an authentic picture of the history, the past and present of the kindergarten.

We want to realize a playhouse for smaller children by showing yard equipment that can be tried by everyone and where the children can sit down to draw and play with paper. Our first temporary exhibition of the year is entitled "My Doll, My Teddy at the Turn of the Millennia". We also have a popular showing of photos related to the kindergarten taken from 1908 to nowadays. The location for the kindergarten history showing proved too small. Thus, in 2003 the Principal of the Sándor Apponyi Secondary School supported our petition and secured us a location for the showing. We wish to express our gratitude for his help. The exhibition is now open at the Appony Castle
