The material displayed in the showcase of the cafe of the museum presents the life of the ethnic groups belonging to the Finn-Ugor language family.

The research on the history of these people began in the 18th century, but reached its heydays in the 19th century. Besides history, the professionals of archeology, linguistics, and ethnography got also involved in the researches. By now, we seem to know a lot of the life of the people who belonged to the same language family for around 8000 years.

The exhibition puts man in the center with his clothing, place of life, and work tools.
